Ready for your upcoming audition?

 Music preparatory schools are not very common in the Philippines. Actually I can think of one school as of now and that is the Philippine High School for the Arts in Los Banos Laguna. Students receive their required academic subjects but everyday, every afternoon, they have all music and arts subjects only.
 In a regular High school, one is lucky to receive 2 sessions of music class in a week. So naturally, when they decide to enroll in Conservatories and Colleges of Music, they are not equipped with a college level, And what horror is that Music Theory knowledge is non-existent. Yes, they can play a Sonata and read notes but complex time signatures are surprising to most. They hardly sight read because , well, rehearsed pieces for some years are what they audition with.. This is just one fo the challenges of Music major enthusiasts who enroll without a proper Theory background.
 We at Tenstringedlyre see this common challenge and we promote Music Theory in every class that you enroll with us. We also incorporate Solfeggio which is the note-singing discipline that is required for a progressive lesson. in 2020, we will be launching our Music Theory and Keyboard Module designed specifically for auditioning students and people who are preparing for an exam like that of and ABRSM's.
